Although a mild-mannered commercial banker, Maura Stone has demonstrated that she could hold her own in the formerly acclaimed borscht-belt tradition of comedy.
Her first novel, Five-Star FLEECING received rave reviews as a "superb scathing satire" prompted by a very scarring stint in one of the top luxury hotels in NYC. She found that writing was more effective and far more cheaper than therapy.
At present, Maura is working on her second novel, another scathing satire, this time about commercial banking. At the same time, she wonders whether the second book will put the kibosh on her career as well as putting into effect the words "burning all bridges."
